There are some conditions in which the male partner is producing sperms but there is a block in the tube that carries the sperms out of the testes. This is a condition called obstructive azoospermia. In such a scenario, the sperm is retrieved from the testes or the epidymis (where sperms are stored after production) via techniques called Percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration or Testicular sperm aspiration. This sperm retrieval technique is helpful on occasion even for men with non obstructive azoospermia with testicular failure. Dr. Aditi Tandon at her Fertility centre provides her patients with these facilities for sperm retrieval all under one roof.
