While all pregnant patients require adequate antenatal care to have a healthy baby and mother, there are some pregnancies which require extra attention, extra monitoring and scrutiny. Some patients conceive after several years of infertility, some women have previously affected children , or a bad obstetric history with no living issues, multiple abortions or preterm deliveries. Our aim in these patients is to give them that extra attention and care so as to have a good outcome. Pregnancy can be very stressful especially when a previous unfortunate even has occurred. We aim to follow-up these patients regularly with frequent antenatal visits, frequent monitoring of the maternal and fetal well being . This may include some more blood tests, additional sonographies, NST (non stress test) and some extra visits to the hospital , sometimes requiring admission. Our experienced team of doctors and well trained staff aims to look after such precious pregnancies with utmost caution, and deliver in the most suitable manner for the best outcome.
